TRAINING UPDATE

12 Miles

          

19 Km
Training is going well we are doing 12 miles and now with with teams of 16 dogs.

the temperatures dropped in the morning and it is about 20f which is nice.

I got e-mail from my friend Terry Streeper in Fort Nelson Canada and they got 1 foot of snow... and today 8 inch droped in Healy... 

NOTHING HERE YET !!
   L'entrainement ce passe bien nous faisons 19km et nous avons des attelages de 16 chiens.

Les températures sont enfin descendues le matin et il fait generalmenet -7°c

J'ai recu une  e-mail de mon ami Terry Streeper au Canada et ils ont eu 35cm de neige et ce matin Healy (sud d'ici) a recu 12cm!!!

RIEN ICI ENCORE

WARM SEPTEMBER

NO SNOW YET

          

SEPTEMBRE TRES CHAUD
It is bearly freezing at night and we are running dogs at Temperature around 35 to 40f which is unusual for this time of the year.

Also we didn't see any snow yet and we usually ALWAYS get some snow in september....

Training is going well we are doing 7 miles.... Teams of 14 dogs.		   Les temératures sont à peine a la gelée la nuit et nous entrainonsavec des tempérarures de +3°c ou +7°c ce qui n'est pas habituel pour cette période de l'année.

Nous n'avons pas encore eu de neige et normalement il neige toujours une fois en septembre meme si la neige ne reste pas///

L'entrainement se déroule bien  nous faisont 11km et nous faisons des attelages de 14 chiens

Chrome and Fuego in England

Steve got 2 more dogs

          

Ils sont en Angleterre
On the 25th Jacques and I drove to Anchorage to bring Chrome and Fuego to Continental Cargo for their flight to London.
They are both now in England with Steve who already got from our kennel: Sting, Risk and Sheenjek.
   Le 25 Jacques et mois ommes descendu a Anchorage pour ammener Chromet Fuego a Continental Cargo pour leur vol vers Londres.
Ils sont maintenant chez Steve qui a deja : Sting, Risk et Sheenjek de notre chenil.

FALL IS HERE

COOLER MORNINGS

          

L'automne est là
Fall is here, this is for sure now.

Leaves are yellow and started to fall of the trees.

This afternoon I went Cranberry picking, see photos below.

Now the temperatures are about 50f during the day and around 35 to 40f in the morning.
Soon we will start to go 6 miles on training runs.
   L'automne est là et c'est pour sure !

Les feuilles sont bien jaunes et on déjà commencées a tomber des arbres.

Cet après midi je suis aller ramasser des Airelles sur la piste. Photos ci dessous.

Les températures sont de 10/12°c la journée et +5°c ou +7°c la matin. Bientôt nous commencerons a faire 9km avec les chiens.

65 Dogs

65 dogs on training

          

65 chiens à l'entraînement.
I counted (or to be honest the computer did for me) and we are training 65 dogs right now.

We are doing teams of 12 to 14 dogs and are going only 4 miles.

26 of those dogs are yearlings (born summer 2006).		  
J'ai compté (ou plus l'ordinateur a compter pour moi) et nous entraînons en ce moment 65 chiens.

Nous faisons des attelages de 12 à 14 chiens pour le moment et ne faisons que 7km.

26 chiens sont des jeunes de un peu plus d'un an (nés été 2006).
