Here's a photo I received yesterday from Benoit a friend who is handling for John Baker in Kotzebue and will run his first Iditarod next March..... 4 teams on training from the Baker Kennel going back to Kotzebue!!!! Nice shot !! Thanks to Benoit to had send it to me... Hi to you all Below link to 3 videos... : 1) one of the team about 10 miles from the start... 2) Snefru in lead with Onyx at the half way stop 3) 5 miles from Home lake and "bumps" at the end of the lake.. before going back in the woods... Still no MUSIC or SOUND !!! You need Windows Media Palyer 9 or better to see the videos need to download WMP??		Bonjour à tous, 3 films aujourd'hui, liens ci dessous: 1) L'attelage a environ 16km du départ. 2) Snefru en tête avec Onyx au demi tour 3) 7 km de la maison au retour sur le lac et les bosses a la sortie du lac avant de retourner dans les bois!!! Toujours pas de music ou son (désolé) Il faut Windows Media Player 9 ou mieux pour voir les vidéos. Besion d'intaller Windows Media Player ??

TRAINING UPDATE + PHOTOS

Well we still don't have much snow.. the weather is Warm and windy.... 20 below temperatures are forecasted for tomorow but only for couple of days ... Training is going well we are doing 40 and 35 miles runs.... Dogs have lot of miles on their legs ! over a thousand for most of them.... I have retired completely Memphis from the race team and she will train pups with me this spring only... So basicly on race proven leaders I have Pyramid and Onyx and Janet (for the shorter stages only) so I need to find new one..... I had been putting one fo my favorite yearling in lead on the way back home and so far he is OUTSTANDING... is name is SNEFRU and I let you guess who can be is mom..... (Memphis of course). Tomorow I will leave the yard with him in lead for 40 miles run... I cross my finger... I don't care if he want to learn Gee/Haw right now all I want is him to follow Onyx ! He is so happy on the line and jumps and most important want to loap all the time and if he has to get down to a trot on the steep hills as soon as he can he will loap and drive ! I like this..... Like is mom he is very "noisy" and "jumps" and "chew" !!! here's some photos of my team today... later tonight I'll add videos in a new post !!!		Nous n'avons toujours pas plus de neige... La météo est tiède et beaucoup de vent... La météo annonce des températures de -30°c pour demain mais uniquement pour quelques jours ! OUF !!!! L'entraînement se déroule bien nous faisons entre 56 et 65km.. Les chiens ont beaucoup de Km dans les pattes ! plus de 1600km pour la majorité d'entre eux. J'ai mis Memphis a la retraite complètement elle ne courrait qu'au printemps avec moi quand j'entraînerais les chiots... Cela signifie que dois me pencher sur "trouver de nouveaux leaders". J'ai d'expérimenter en course: Onyx, Pyramid et Janet (mais je ne peux la prendre, que sur les étapes courtes). donc il m'en faut d'autres... J'ai déjà essayé plusieurs fois sur le chemin du retour un de mes yearlings préféré et ils est ÉTONNANT, son nom.... SNEFRU... je vous laisse deviner qui est sa mère (Memphis bien sure). Demain je le met en tête dès le départ depuis le chenil et on fera 65km et on verra.... Je ne me soucis pas qu'il écoute les directions pour le moment tout ce que je veux c'est qu'il copie Onyx ! Il est très content quand je le met en tête il saute, aboie et cela ne le gène pas du tout.... Ce que j'aime chez lui c'est qu'il en veut et veut toujours être au galop dès qu'il peut... Il ressemble a sa mère !!! Ce soir je mettrais "on-line" des vidéos de l'entraînement.

OK this is my frist try on doing the "thing" with the video on the computer so I can share them with you.... (I am not that good with computers) This was taken few days ago on our 40 miles extension near the Tanana River in the slough trail. e-mail you impressions.... if you have time... (there is no sound on the video)		Voila c'est mon première essais pour faire le "truc" avec les vidéos pour les mettre sur le net pour les partager... (je suis pas douée avec les ordis ) Vidéo prise y'a quelques jours sur notre boucle de 65km sur un bras mort de la rivière Tanana... envoyez moi une e -mail avec vos commentaires !!!
